OFFICER SMITH, a young female police officer in her twenties, strides over confidently. She sits down on the table in front of her and switches off the radio.

OFFICER SMITH

Okay. Where were you on Friday 5th November?

KIRSTIE, a 16 year old girl, hair is tangled and her clothes are dishevelled, is sitting opposite.

KIRSTIE

At Home.

OFFICER SMITH

On your own?

KIRSTIE

Yes.

OFFICER SMITH

Right, so when was the last time you saw your sister?

KIRSTIE

Yesterday morning, before she left for work.

OFFICER SMITH

Do you have any reason to suspect this is a murder case?

KIRSTIE

(MUTTERING) Yes but I can’t, it was the, the Dem- (struggling to get the words out, she continues muttering frantically to herself)

OFFICER SMITH

Pardon? Kirstie?

She walks down the street. There are noises in the background but she takes no notice.

[Phone rings]

She takes her mobile out of her pocket but sees it is an unknown number. She hangs up.

[Ringing is cut off]

[Dog barks]

The dog starts to pull on her lead towards-

A DARK EMPTY ALLEYWAY

Kirstie tries to pull her dog away but she refuses to move.

KIRSTIE

No Daisy, this way!

Kirstie gives in and reluctantly walks down the alleyway. She ties the dog lead on a lampost.

Small drops of blood form a trail on the ground.

Kirstie follows the trail which leads to a blood splattered envelope. It has her name written in what seems to be blood on the front.

A gust of wind suddenly brushes past her as if someone had run past her.

Kirstie opens the envelope and sees her sister's name written on it in blood. She drops the envelope in shock.

[Voices whisper around her as if it is coming from inside her head]

Voices

‘First your sister now you’ ‘It’s all your fault’ ‘She’s dead now’

Kirstie is finding it hard to concentrate and clutches her head to attempt to banish the voices but failing to do so.

KIRSTIE

Shut up! This isn’t real!

THE DEMON, an evil spirit who murders people through a person by possessing them, typically wears a white mask, appears behind Kirstie out of nowhere.

The voices in her head stop.

THE DEMON

[Whispers]Turn around Kirstie.

Kirstie desperately runs down the empty street, the voices in her head returning to taunt her.

The Demon is standing from the same place watching her run away. She trips over and falls to the ground.

THE DEMON

Kirstie… it’s your turn. Kirstie, Kirstie, Kirstie…
